Invitations to Board Interviews and Class will be shipped via email once your
application is received.
Process starts when the interested party gets on our waiting list.  During 2010, there will be 4 mailings
for folks on the waiting list...where an invitation to apply will be sent to those on the list. The tentative
schedule is January, March, May, and July.
To be included in the July mailing, letter of interest must be
postmarked by June 30.
Each invitation will be valid for 90 days; after which, the name will be dropped
from consideration. Once the invitation is sent, the New Member process begins.

The New Member Process consists of five elements:

1. The Club Secretary will send you a letter containing the application form and cover letter.  Please fill
this out in its entirety.  The Spouse information should
only be filled out if the spouse will get a
credential; i.e., so that the spouse can visit the club without the primary member.   Send your
application to the address on the form itself.

2.  Fees - Please send two checks as indicated on the application.  We will deposit your non-refundable
application fee upon receipt of your application.

Fees:
Check 1: Non-refundable Application Fee ($100)
Check 2: Initiation Fee ($250) + Prorated Annual Dues*
*Annual Dues are prorated by the quarter you submit your application:
in the 1st Quarter annual dues are $150.00
in the 2nd Quarter annual dues are $112.50
in the 3rd Quarter annual dues are $75.00
We do not accept applications in the 4th Quarter

3. Board Interview - This is a 5 minute interview between the Board of Directors and the applicant.
We're interested in why you want to join the club and to know about you.

4. Background Check - You are required to have a current FBI background check (current within 30
days of application date).  The FBI website will indicate that you need to print a fingerprint card - instead
of printing the card, you may want to find out where you are going to have your prints taken (must be
completed by a knowledgeable technician...which can be found at any law enforcement center...e.g.,
Sheriff's office).  There may be a nominal fee.   A current/valid SC CWP is also valid.

Some of the recent applicants have indicated that the technicians have the fingerprint card in those
locations and will not accept those printed from home printers.

5.  Firearm Safety & GGC Range Safety Rules Class w/ Tour and Written Test - this class will begin to be
offered in September; initially by invitation only.  A satisfactory score on the test is required.  The
applicant needs to have read the Range Rules prior to attending class.

Once those 5 components are completed appropriately, the Board will vote on
your membership status. Should you be extended membership, you will receive a
membership packet in writing containing badges. It is only with the receipt of your
credentials, will you be allowed access to the ranges and facilities as a member.

FAQ:
Spouse Credentials - Some members want their spouses to have credentials to allow them to shoot
unaccompanied by the primary member.  If this is your situation, the spouse must do the following:
a) fill out the appropriate section the application
b) submit for a background check
c) attend the Firearm Safety & GGC Range Safety Rules Class w/ Tour and Written test

<The spouse does not have to attend the Board Interview nor pay other fees.>
Individuals seeking membership who fail to follow
these procedures will be declined.
