Free course for student aged 9 to 18:
Since starting the program in spring of 2002, the program has taught
over
550 children. Our National Rifle Association certified instructors
teach the NRA rifle course. In addition children learn what to do if they
comes across an unsecured firearm; what to do if a student brings a
firearm to school, and many other topics to keep them safe around
firearms.

Upon their successful completion of this course they will earn a certificate
suitable for framing and a patch for their jacket at no cost.

Students should have both forms submitted by the start date. The
students should expect to make at least 90% of the classes. Students
can start in first or second week only. There is no cost or equipment
necessary for enrollment; all material will be provided. Class starts at
7pm on Monday nights; end at 9pm. Parents may stay and listen as well.

The Greenville Gun Club Youth Program offers an advanced class as
well. This course, held on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30pm, offers to
graduates the opportunity to continue the NRA rifle qualification program.
There are nominal fees to pay for materials that will be explained by the
instructors.

And for Basic Rifle course graduates (13 and up), there are opportunities
to receive one on one instruction from NRA certified instructors in the
disciplines of Trap or Skeet shooting. Shotgun classes start at 6.30pm,
and will run until dusk, during Daylight Savings time. There are nominal
fees to pay for materials that will be explained by the instructors.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

One of our youth shooters, Alex B completed her
Distinguished Expert Award February 1, 2010.

She has just turned 15 years old!   She took the
basic class a number of years ago, then took a
break for 3 years...when she returned, she was
delighted that we still remembered her and got
down to practicing diligently.

She has done well!!
